Abstract submission deadlines are approaching for the 2025 International Sherwood Fusion Theory Conference, which will be in New York City, NY, April 7-9, 2025. Sherwood 2025 will be a three-day conference.

​

All technical sessions will take place at The Wyndham New Yorker Hotel, 481 8th Avenue, New York, 10001, USA. There is a guest room hotel rate reserved for Sherwood 2025 at $289.00, plus tax. The New Yorker resort fee is waived for all Sherwood 2025 registered attendees.

New for 2025, the Sherwood conference invites sponsorship opportunities, providing access to on-site marketing, exhibitor displays, and participation in a panel discussion on “Role of theory and computation in the private sector.”

Deadlines:

• Invited talk abstracts: Friday, February 21, 2025
• Poster abstracts: Friday, March 14, 2025
• Housing: Friday, March 14, 2025 (cut-off date)

Papers are solicited on the following topics for the International Sherwood Fusion Theory Conference:

• Plasma equilibrium, stability, and transport
• Physics of the plasma edge and divertor region, including plasma surface interactions
• Plasma production, fueling, heating, and current drive
• Analytic and computational methods for modeling plasmas
• Integrated modeling of fusion plasmas
• Methodology and development of data-driven techniques including machine learning in fusion plasma
• Emerging methods and technology for plasma theory and computation

As in previous years, Physics of Plasmas will feature a special collection for Sherwood 2025. Presenters selected for plenary talks, invited talks, and awarded student posters/presentations will be invited to submit an article, which will be designated as an invited paper in the collection. Additionally, all Sherwood presenters will have the opportunity to contribute an article to this special collection.
